Opened up all boxes today. Removed Formic treatments as they were no longer viable and did what they were supposed to do.

Along the way we assessed colony health – all four good, one just okay, two average and one outstanding.

Since the summer is winding down, in order to thwart robbing, we reinstalled the entrance reducers.

Things are tucked in for now and we have a strong feeling that we will indeed be able to have a fall harvest! If you do not know, this isn’t by any means a given. We consider it luck to have anything this type of year.

Feeding is next, but not until we determine that harvest and accomplish it. After that the season will wind down. This year we expect to put OA Vapor treatments after consolidating. That along with heavy feeding of 1:1 sugar solution should help us up the chances of overwintering.

Excited to have a third super on the stack of Tigger. First time ever for that! The two boxes were so heavy it was all we had to take them off and put them back on for the work we had to do.
