A Discounted Price for Bottle Return
If you’d like to purchase honey here are a couple of things to consider.
Pricing is based on size of the container. However, if you bring your container back, we will sanitize it and reuse.
For your effort, we will discount the price $2!
Offerings
*Typically, we offer two different jar and pricing sizes:
Typical Honey Jar $12
12oz size typically holds 1lb of honey by weight
Large Honey (Mason) Jar $18
16oz size typically holds 1.5 lbs of weight
Honey changes with the season
Honey varies based on what the foraging is. Spring products tend to be lighter, perhaps a little less body and for the most part a little sweeter.
Fall honey is a more robust, typically darker with often thicker constancy. It is also season to season on if a harvest is possible.
There are also times when it is not possible to take honey at any time. In those instances, we leave it for the bees to ensure colony strength. It is paramount importance to prioritize colony health and growth. For the first few years, we left all but a small amount to the bees.
Recent dry weather lends itself to what is referred to as a dearth (scarcity of food/forage) in the world of beekeeping. Typically, that is reserved for late summer but can be an extended period if weather factors in.
Either way, you cannot go wrong, and we are quite sure that you will enjoy either profile!
